A pattern to learn crochet with – A customizable Granny Stitch Market Bag

This pattern is currently being worked on. It is being made available early for learning purposes while we work on the videos to accompany this pattern. This message will be removed when the pattern is in its complete state. This is a pattern that will teach you a few basic crochet stitches and skills that you’ll be able to take into many new projects. By the end of the project, you should be familiar with chains, slip stitches, single crochet stitches, and double crochet stitches. I recommended materials for this projects in a previous post, and my reasoning for those…

It’s been a minute. My drafts folder is full, my site is… not.

I’ve been away. Kind of. I choose to use this space for more… useful content, over idle rambling and planning, but I sometimes I feel like I’m not providing enough worth. Which is a silly thing to think, on a website that I own and create all the content for, with an undefined target audience and a mishmash of topics that have little relevance to each other. I have that problem a lot. I’ve gone through 3 planner formats this month because I couldn’t decide what purpose each planner was supposed to serve, until I finally put away the second…

A Smollen from Destiny 2 [Pattern]

It’s me! I’m back! And I’ve brought with me a crochet pattern 🥰 I love the Smollen in Destiny 2, and I made one a while back so that I could have one of my own. I decided that I wanted to share the love, so I started working on different versions of the pattern and finally figured out a pattern that I’m happy with. I’ve spent a few months working on it on and off, and finally decided this weekend that I was going to sit down and get it finished. I’ve spent 16 hours in the last few…

    I went to PAX East

This year, I decided to attend PAX East. It’s always been something I was interested in, but I never considered actually going because I wasn’t sure what I would get out of the experience. This year, my circumstances changed and I decided that I would take a trip down to Boston and see what PAX had to offer me. Turns out, it had a lot. The Event I arrived in Boston on Wednesday, the day before it was set to open. I timed my arrival so that I would arrive close to 4PM, which is the check-in time for the…

NETASPA – A short recap for the anxious

I am a very nervous person. I’m good at masking and appearing otherwise, but I’m usually filled with a decent mix of apprehension, self doubt, anxiety, and fear. NETASPA was one of the first events I went to without a clear idea of what to expect, and it ended up better than I envisioned. When I go to any event, I research it heavily beforehand. I find maps and programs from previous years, I find people that have attended and read their experiences, and I try to make up a plan for how I’m going to handle the different aspects…

Yarnable – the cute little subscription box that made me go “meh”

This year is the year of trying new things. I currently have a subscription for Owl Post, which delivers hand dyed yarn and matching stitch markers every month. While I was glancing around at different subscription services that didn’t cost $100 every 3 months, I happened upon Yarnable. Don’t get me wrong, Yarnable is as described. It is hand dyed yarn on your base of choice (I went with DK), and the subscription cost varies depending on what tier or extras you choose. I chose to go with their Deluxe Experience, which includes the original 100 gram colorway, an additional…

    2025 – What’s coming, and what’s already done?

Honestly there isn’t anything that’s “already done” except for a little crocheted bag and some prep for Sundered Doctrine, Destiny 2’s new contest dungeon, but I wanted to make the title longer than just “What’s coming.” Technically not false advertising. Anyway! My year is looking to be full of fun activities and events, and I’m looking ahead today to remind myself of my personal goals and also to be mindful of my project load – I’m already looking at more projects than last year, projects that are much bigger than my usual scarves and hand warmers, and I need to…

Weird Sisters Wool Emporium – Owl Post? What is this, a yarn subscription for nerds?

Weird Sisters Wool Emporium is a fun site that I’ve been happy to buy from in the past – and I’m currently a subscriber of their Owl Post subscription box. The main Weird Sisters website is a glorious display of fandom and geekery. It has collections of pins and stickers and hand dyed yarn colorways inspired by some of our favorite universes growing up, as well as entirely new topics and graphics that the owners created themselves. I highly recommend taking a look at the website, and while you’re there, let’s pop in and see what’s going on with their…

Streaming with VTube Studio and Streamer.bot – Initial Setup and Simple Item Scene Usage

I’ve been streaming a lot with VTube Studio and Streamerbot, and I’ve found that the combination of these two programs has infinitely improved my stream and life (lol). Being able to automate actions in VTube Studio with Streamerbot has made the stream as a whole better, and has made people in the community more active as they fight over hats and who can make the badger dance the hardest. I’m going to give a brief intro to setting up Streamerbot with VTube Studio so people can play with settings and come up with their own redemptions. Connecting Streamer.bot to VTube…
